SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Method comprises the steps of: specifying a finite set of characters Y={γ1, γ2, …, γm}, where m≥3, the elements of which form the control sequence {yi}, having a length at least the length of the original sequence of characters {ci}; specify a finite set of symbols E={e1, e2, …, ek}, k≥n, which is an alphabet for the sequence of characters {si}, form the transformation matrix B=||bij|| size k×m, each column of which consists of elements of the set E, chosen in an arbitrary order, each element of the set E occurs only once in a fixed column; the correspondence GA between the alphabet A and the row numbers of the matrix B in such a way that each symbol of the alphabet A is associated with at least one element of the set of rows of the matrix B, with each row of the matrix B there corresponds only one symbol of the alphabet A, establish a one-to-one correspondence GY between the set Y and the column numbers of the matrix B; matrix ||bij||, the control sequence {yi}, the correspondence GA and GY are introduced into a technical facility, on which the original sequence of characters {ci} in the sequence of characters {si}.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability of the protection of transmitted information.
