FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to images processing technologies. Image processor, configured to provide the user with a dynamic zooming functionality, is provided. Input unit for receiving sub-image information specifying a spatial sub- image of a global image, the sub-image information including pan information and /or a zoom scale, the image fragment being a spatial fragment of the image of the whole image. Processor comprises a suppressor configured to suppress only in the sub-image, spatial frequency components (or bands) below a dynamic lower frequency band limit thereby producing a spatial frequency modified sub-image, wherein the frequency-modified sub-image is created by the suppressor when the input unit receives sub-image information.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of displaying a zoomed image.
