SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machining of metals and can be used in machine building enterprises. Cutting fluid containing a modifier is provided, which is distinctive in that as a modifier the aqueous dispersion of multi-walled carbon nanotubes obtained with the action of ultrasound whose surface is functionalized with a quaternary ammonium salt is used, with the following ratio of components, mass%: industrial oil – 1.0–1.7; carbamol – 0.36–0.6; oleic acid – 0.3–0.5; triethanolamine – 0.3–0.5; additives – 0.05–0.08; carbon nanotubes – 0.01–0.1; water – the rest.
EFFECT: increase in the stability of the cutting fluid and resistance to bio-affection.
