FIELD: cutting fluids.
SUBSTANCE: cutting fluids used for mechanical processing of metals, for example, when turning, boring, threading, cutting, milling, drilling, reaming, broaching, grinding, honing, deep drawing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A cutting agent for mechanical processing of metals contains water, a surfactant, triethanolamine, soda ash, trisodium phosphate, bactericidal and anti-foam additives, while the cutting fluid additionally contains a carbon nanomaterial containing carbon nanotubes with an outer diameter from 15 to 40 nm, internal diameter of carbon nanotubes from 3 to 8 nm, length of carbon nanotubes 2 or more mcm, bulk density from 0.4 to 0.5 g/cm3 and thermal stability up to 700°C, and before mixing the components of the cutting fluid, the carbon nanomaterial is dispersed using ultrasound for 3 to 5 minutes in an aqueous solution of a surfactant, and neonol AF 9-6 is used as a surfactant, with the following ratio of cutting fluid components, wt.%: Neonol AF 9-6 0.4-18.0, Triethanolamine 0.3-15.0, Soda ash 0.08-3.5, Trisodium phosphate 0.05-4.5, Carbamol B 0.1-2.5 , Polysiloxane liquid 0.001-1.0, Carbon nanomaterial 0.01-0.10, Water – balance.
EFFECT: improved tribological properties of the product due to eliminating “gripping” of rubbing surfaces and increased the durability of the cutting tool.
