FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a method and apparatus for analyzing oils and technical service fluids. Method for the analysis of oils and technical service fluids and for the qualified evaluation of the operating states of units, wherein a drop of the test fluid to be examined is applied to a suitable test medium, is allowed to penetrate into the test medium and is assessed after a preselected time by a resulting test image being optically compared with the data of a plurality of reference images according to a plurality of test criteria. Device for the analysis of oils and technical service fluids, as well as for a qualified assessment of the operating conditions of the elements, contains: a support for a flat test environment, a test image, an image recording apparatus, and a light source for obtaining images for the front recording and backlit recording are created, a data storage device for a plurality of reference image sequences, a test image storage device, a test image data comparison software relative to its shape and color spectra with reference image data, a display and record element serving to represent the results of analysis and evaluation.

EFFECT: technical result consists in evaluating the state of the fluids tested and the mechanical and technical state of the components and elements associated with the fluids being tested.
