FIELD: containers.

SUBSTANCE: blocking unit for portable containers, such as those belonging to chests, suitcases, trolley bags, etc., which contain at least one open cover (101) creating inner chamber (102) for placing objects therein. Cover (101) is at least partially closed in at least one first configuration by means of at least one corresponding closing unit (103) that is connected to cover (101) and is adapted to be transferred from the first configuration to at least to one second configuration and back for easy access to chamber (102). Blocking unit comprises at least one lever (2) for driving at least one slider (3), which is slidably connected to base outer surface (105) of one of the following: cover (101) or unit (103). Slider (3) is movable between at least one first end position in which it is coupled to corresponding stop (4), connected to the other of the following: cover (101) or unit (103) in the first configuration to interlock them, and at least one second end position in which it is spaced from stop (4), to allow transmission blocking unit (103) from the first configuration to the second configuration and free access to chamber (102). Slider (3) has at least one end protrusion having at least one surface area, which is inclined relative to the direction of displacement of slider (3), in order to obtain wedge (3a). During the transition of slider (3) from the second end position to the first end position, wedge (3a) slides under stop (4) formed by cross rod (5), the rigid support is provided by respective first ribs (106) extending in one direction and protruding outward from container (100) to have influence on rod (5) and cause mutual blocking of cover (101) and closing unit (103), and to prevent any possible subsequent transmission from the first configuration to the second configuration.

EFFECT: provides high reliability in operation, impact resistance, complete tightness.
