SUBSTANCE: cable marker includes a housing that has a receiving opening for placing a marking for the cable marking, a cover for closing the receiving opening in the closed position and a film hinge by which the housing is integrally connected to the lid, that the lid in the open position, in which the lid does not cover the receiving opening, is pivotable relative to the housing in the plane of rotation. In this case, it is provided that film hinge (4) has first base portion (40) by which film hinge (4) is connected to housing (2), second base portion (41) through which film hinge (4) is connected to lid (3) and connecting portion (42) located between first base portion (40) and second base portion (41), this connecting portion (42), when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the rotation plane (E), has a width (W1) reduced in comparison with at least one of base portions (40, 41).
EFFECT: thus creating a marker for the cable that is easy to handle, while it can be transparent with good light transmission and, in addition, can be optimized for the desired use.
