SUBSTANCE: method includes desalination activities by the method of sprinkling with subsequently removing rinsate through the drainage and collection network, meliorative ploughing or deep subsurface tilling, applying a chemical ameliorant - gypsum, and packing after planting. Wherein crops adapted to arid conditions, such as summer cypress (sand and solonetz ecotypes) with the rate of seeding in rows 4-6 million/ha of germinable seeds mixed with granulated superphosphate at the weight ratio 1:3, with subsequent packing to the depth of 0.5 cm, the row spacing width of 60 cm, the sowing period from the third decade of November to mid-February, in order the seeds can pass cold stratification in the field conditions to additionally increase the germination. Wheatgrass (Siberian and desert) is sown by the SZT-3,6 seeder in rows in September at the rate of 2-4 million/ha of germinable seeds, with the row spacing width of 45 cm with the optimum depth of their covering on soils of loamy granulometric composition of 2-3 cm, on sandy loams and sandy soils - 3-4 cm. Elytrigia elongata of the halophytic variety is sown in pure form in autumn and spring at the earliest possible dates with the seed covering depth of 2-3 cm, the seeding rate of 18-20 kg/ha.

EFFECT: method contributes to the desalination of saline irrigated soil, improving the permeability, giving off carbon dioxide, reducing evaporation from the field surface due to shading, lowering the groundwater level and increasing the soils fertility.
