SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air purification devices and to the field of lighting engineering. Air purifying device includes air inlet 132, air outlet 134, photocatalytic volume 150, first solid state light emitter 102, and second solid state light emitter 122. Air inlet receives airflow 140. Photocatalytic volume contains photocatalytic material and airflow passes through photocatalytic volume so that some of air is contacted with photocatalytic material. Photocatalytic volume is between the inlet of air and the release of air. Photocatalytic material under the action of UV radiation is catalyst in photochemical reactions between gases in air. First solid-state light emitter emits UV light in the direction of the photocatalytic volume. Second solid-state light emitter emits dark blue light in the direction of the photocatalytic volume. Dark blue light has a peak wavelength between 400 and 450 nm.
