FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of photocatalysis and may be used to perform heterogeneous photocatalytic reactions, and also for air treatment from organic admixtures. Photocatalytic reactor for oxidation of organic admixtures contained in air comprises radiating surface with photocatalyst applied on it and a source of ultraviolet radiation. Radiating surface of reactor consists of one or several light-conducting capillaries, which are transparent for UV radiation and are arranged into an array, on which photocatalyst is applied. Diametre of light-conducting capillaries does not exceed 10 mm, besides photocatalyst is applied onto internal and external sides of light-conducting capillary.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to intensify photocatalytic processes, to reduce dimensions and energy consumption of photoreactor together with increase of its capacity.
