FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Device for evaluating intravital tone of tracheal and bronchial wall contains a tube with a balloon at working end and a measuring instrument on other. Tube is configured to supply breathable air therethrough, has in the wall additional channel for air supply to the balloon, made in the form of a cuff. Cuff is located outside tube. Measuring device is connected to a side tube which is connected to an additional channel in wall of tube. At the end of the side tube is installed a three-way valve for alternately connecting to the air supply device in the cuff or for pumping it and to a measuring device with a manometer. Method for assessing the intravital tone of the trachea and bronchial wall, including the measurement of the change in pressure in them with coughing movements, wherein the pressure measurement is performed by means of the device. Conduct a flexible bronchoscopy and determine the location of the measurement of pressure on the wall and the diameter of the trachea or bronchi in this place. Calibrate the diameter of the inflated cuff of the device from the amount of air introduced into it. Enter the device through the endotracheal tube or the pre-installed conductor to the measurement site, respiration is carried out through the tube by high-frequency ventilation or inhalation of oxygen. Establish a three-way valve in the position of connection with the air supply device, apply air to the cuff in a volume selected by calibration, ensuring a close contact with the wall of the trachea or bronchi, connect the cuff by switching the three-way valve with a manometer, set its readings to “0”. When the pressure exceeds 4 mm Hg. in two or more times, the intravital tone of the trachea or bronchus wall is assessed as reduced.
EFFECT: inventions allow to simplify quantitative evaluation of the intravital tone of tracheal and bronchial walls and to conduct this evaluation without disturbing the ventilation of lungs.
