FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire fighting equipment, and more particularly to hand-throwing devices, the fire extinguishing aerosol generators. Quick-action fire extinguishing aerosol generator contains a housing made of two counter-fastened disk-shaped containers with a gap between their raised edges forming a disc nozzle, in each of which a functional pyrotechnic charge with an open end surface is fixed through the load-bearing heat-insulating layer, wherein the located under the hook-handle initiation unit is directed into the disk nozzle. Novelty is that the load-bearing heat-insulating layer directly adjoining the pyrotechnic charge is made of a material that hardens during expansion, for example, of heat-resistant aerated concrete, the burning end surface of pyrotechnic charges is located above the corresponding raised edges of the housing, forming a throttling ignition gap, and the initiation unit is installed in the hook-handle. Proposed technical solution increased the functional reliability of the fire extinguishing aerosol generator of a simpler and more technologically advanced design, which pyrotechnic charges are guaranteed and dynamically ignited from adjacent end surfaces due to firing front accelerated movement in the throttling gap between them from the initiating unit. At that, at the open end of the charges, to which the initiating unit adjoins, a local ignition spot is formed by the direct action of its torch, spreading radially in both directions along the disk nozzle, which maximally shortens the start-up time.

EFFECT: proposed is a quick-action fire extinguishing aerosol generator.
