FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of brake devices in mobile railway vehicles. Wheel electromechanical brake contains wheel poles made on the wheel, an electromagnet with electromagnetic poles attached to the frame of the bogie, split into two or more electromagnetic poles at the ends of the core, between which the wheel poles are placed with the minimum working air gap in the braking mode. Winding of the electromagnet is connected to the power supply source by the switching device connected by its input to the output of the control device, connected by its inputs to the outputs of the wheel position sensors positioned along the circumference next to the electromagnetic pole. To the other input of the control device, the source of the command for activating the braking mode is connected. Near the wheel poles, a retainer containing a pin is attached to the frame of the bogie.
EFFECT: increase in the braking force produced by the wheel electromechanical brake is achieved, as well as exclusion of electric power consumption when the bogie is stationary.
