FIELD: energy industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wind energy, namely, to installations which work to charge the batteries and then convert the accumulated energy into an electric current of the desired voltage and frequency by means of an inverter. In a wind power plant equipped with 24 V electric generator, 12 V batteries are used and at a lower voltage at the output of the generator less than 24 V they are connected to parallel charging, when the output voltage is increased to 24 V or more, the batteries are switched to pairwise parallel charging by an automatic switch, which is an electromagnetic relay with an electronic key, operating in dependence of the voltage produced by the generator. By switching to parallel or pairwise-parallel charging, the range of use of electricity generated by the wind power plant is significantly expanded.
EFFECT: technical result consists in a more complete use of the generated electrical energy to charge the batteries with significant fluctuations in the electric voltage generated by the electrical generator.
