SUBSTANCE: invention relates to collective protective equipment, is intended for cleaning air from poisonous substances and can be used to absorb harmful impurities, for example ammonia, from air entering closed room. Filter absorber for cleaning air from harmful impurities, comprising cylindrical body with sorption layer inside it, bottom, cover, is characterized in that to realize possibility of cleaning air of enclosed spaces from ammonia, sorbing layer 10–11 cm high is located on bottom whole surface, consists of cupramite based on active coal with copper salts deposited in terms of sulphurous copper (8.0±0.8) % of mass and is bounded from above by intermediate cover, and filter is provided with tightening pins passing through bottom, sorbing layer and intermediate cover, bottom and covers being made in form of perforated discs with grids.

EFFECT: providing high quality air purification of confined spaces from ammonia, increasing reliability of operation of products in extreme situations (vibration during transportation, frequent re-assembly of the product, conditions of weightlessness, et cetera).
