FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sources of terahertz (THz) radiation, namely to converters of THz vibrations into THz electromagnetic radiation based on gold nanoobjects. The converter of terahertz vibrations into terahertz electromagnetic radiation comprises an electromagnetic emitter in the form of a magnetron with a waveguide placed in the body, a metal chamber with an inlet and an outlet on adjacent walls mounted in the body with a gap, a substrate with gold nanoobjects located inside the metal chamber coplanar to the inlet axis. The waveguide is installed coaxially with the metal chamber inlet so that its end is located inside the chamber, and a hole is made in the body, coaxial and identical in form with the chamber inlet, wherein a resonant filter is mounted, characterized in that it is made with a frequency bandwidth of 0.1-0.5 Thz, and the gold nanoobjects are made in the form of the body with one or more geometric dimensions less than the wavelength of longitudinal phonon with energy of emitted Thz photon.
