METHOD OF CORRECTION OF IDIOPATHIC SCOLIOTIC DEFORMITY OF THE SPINE IN THE FORM OF DOUBLE THORACIC ARCH OF CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2651111 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely, to the surgery of idiopathic scoliotic deformity of the spine in the form of the double thoracic arch of children. Deformations of the thoracic spine of the osteotomy of the articular joints are performed from the concave sides of the upper and lower arcs over three vertebrae. Reduction transpedicular support elements are installed into three vertebrae from the concave side of the upper arch of the thoracic spine deformity. Reduction transpedicular support elements are installed into three vertebrae from the concave side of the lower arch of the thoracic spine deformity. Rest of the vertebrae are provided with standard transpedicular support elements. First rod is installed along the convex side of the upper arc of curvature and along the concave side of the lower arc of curvature, the rod is pre-curved along the physiological kyphosis of the thoracic spine with the implementation of the three-dimensional correction of the lower arch of the thoracic spine deformity by performing the vertebral derotation due to reduction screws and segmental contraction at the apex of the lower arc of deformity. At the same time, the second rod is pre-curved along the physiological kyphosis of the thoracic spine from the opposite side relative to the line of spinous processes with the implementation of the three-dimensional correction of the upper arch of the thoracic spine deformity by means of performing the vertebral derotation due to reduction screws and segmental contraction at the apex of the upper arc of deformation.

EFFECT: method restores the physiological profile of the thoracic region due to the three-dimensional correction.
