FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in spinal surgery and in treating patients with spinal deformities in the lumbar spine. Layer-by-layer approach to back spines is performed. It is installed into vertebrae, bilaterally into reference points, transpedicular screws. Two rods are pre-bent so that they correspond to the curvature of the spinal axis in the frontal plane. Skewed rods are laid in heads transpedicular screws, one from the convex side, the other from the concave side of the scoliosis arc. Degrotation maneuver, distraction along the concave side of deformation and compression along the convex side of the scoliosis arc are performed successively. Support points of the two lower vertebrae are not used. Nuts on heads are tightened transpedicular screws, leaving fixed rods in heads transpedicular screws of two lower vertebrae. Frontal balance is evaluated, deviation of longitudinal axis of spine from median line of human body in frontal plane is measured. Detected deviations are eliminated by compressing between vertebrae along concave side of scoliotic arch and distraction along convex side of scoliotic arch of deformation at the level of two lower vertebrae. To maintain the achieved front balance tighten the nuts on the heads transpedicular screws of two lower vertebrae.
EFFECT: method provides correction of spinal deformation with preservation of frontal balance of trunk due to compression between vertebrae along concave side of scoliotic arch and distraction along convex side of scoliotic arch at the level of two lower vertebrae.
