FIELD: ship building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly to submarine vehicles which break up ice cover. Proposed is a device for the destruction of the ice cover consisting of a submarine vessel equipped with an anchor, which provides the vessel attachment to the ice using the cable, and ballast tanks, which filling with the outboard water provides occurrence of the negative buoyancy, sufficient to destroy the ice cover of a given thickness. Anchor legs opening diameter should be longer than the length of the cockpit. Point of the rope securing to the submarine should be aligned with the submarine displacement center. Under the ice cover, a source of compressed air is installed on the anchor line.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of ice breaking efficiency.
