FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of direct low-temperature energy conversion and can be used to illuminate waterfalls. Device for illuminating waterfalls contains two dielectric channels 1, 2, each of which is provided with ionizer 3 and charge collector 4. Ionizer 3 in each of the channels 1, 2 is connected to collector 4 in the opposite channel 1, 2. Channels 1, 2 are provided with tangentially installed nozzles 5 located at the inlet to channels 1, 2, vortex chambers 6 and nozzles 7 communicating with pipes 5 connected to receiving hopper 8 with a constant level of water communicated with the waterfall. Collectors 4 are connected in series to high-voltage controlled resistor 9, high-voltage energy storage device 10 and LED light source 11.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at using the kinetic energy of the water of the waterfall and transforming it into an electrostatic energy to illuminate waterfall jets.
