SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. First invention is a photoprotective composition comprising pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable excipients and a combination of ultraviolet radiation filters consisting of butyl methoxybenzoylmethane (BMDBM), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol-methoxyphenyltriazine (BEMT), methylene-bis-benzotriazolyl-tetramethylbutylphenol (MBBT) and one additional UVB filter selected from ethylhexyl salicylate, phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, ethylhexyl triazone, diethylhexylbutamidotriazone, TiO₂ and tris-biphenyltriazine, characterised in that the weight ratio of BEMT / BMDBM is greater than or equal to 1.5; the content of BMDBM is from 1 to 5 wt% of the total weight of the composition; content of MBBT is from 3 to 7 wt%; content of BEMT is from 2 to 6 wt%; additional UVB-filter - from 1 to 10 wt%; said combination does not contain octocrylene, para-aminobenzoic acid or ethylhexylmethoxy cinnamate. Second invention is the use of said combination of BMDBM, BEMT and MBBT for photostabilisation of BMDBM in a photoprotective composition.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher photostability of BMDBM.
