FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely, to automated information-measuring systems for commercial electric power metering. Method makes it possible to identify the places of origin and magnitude of non-technical energy losses in open-loop power distribution networks with voltage of 35 kV and below with an accuracy of up to a separate network site according to synchronous measurement data. Method includes evaluating the state of an electrical network based on synchronous measurements of network parameters and revealing the origin and magnitude of non-technical energy losses in electrical networks from the data of synchronous measurements of current and voltage vectors. Invention makes it possible to increase the reliability and efficiency of identifying areas of an electrical network that have an increased level of non-technical power losses. Technical result, which can be obtained by using the claimed method, is to reduce costs when operating power distribution networks of 0.4–10 kV electric power system due to the operational identification of the sources of non-technical power losses, to increase the reliability of determining the amount of non-technical losses in the network sections in an automated system of commercial metering of electric power for taking technical and organizational measures for their subsequent liquidation.
EFFECT: costs reduction in the operation of power distribution networks.
