FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, or more precisely to methods for repairing reinforced concrete or brick chimneys. Method of repairing a reinforced concrete chimney includes identifying the zone of the emergency section of the chimney carrying trunk and repairing this section with the help of a protective device mounted on it. Herewith a through hole is made in the center of the emergency section zone allowing the protective device to be inserted through it into the trunk of the chimney, the protective device is installed in it, which is made in the form of an “umbrella” with a flat dome opened after its insertion to ensure a tight fit of the dome surface to the lining plane in the inner space of the chimney trunk at the point of its destruction overlapping the emergency section zone. After that, the “umbrella” is fixed by means of a fastening onto the outer surface of the chimney trunk, then a fast-hardening material is introduced into the through hole filling the cavity between the flat dome of the “umbrella” and the inner surface of the chimney trunk including the through hole.

EFFECT: device and a method for repairing a reinforced concrete or a brick chimney are proposed, which makes it possible to eliminate the direct effect of aggressive gases on the carrying trunk, to restore the burnt out heat-insulating layer, to exclude local overheating of the trunk, to restore the plane of the inner lining with fixing unbroken bricks with a fast-hardening material with minimal labor costs, without stopping the unit and eliminating the loss of production.
