FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an apparatus for producing acetylene and synthesis gas by partial oxidation of hydrocarbons with oxygen comprising a reactor, the reactor comprising a burner block with a combustion chamber for producing acetylene, an additional space provided in the burner unit and an annular space, which surrounds the additional space, the burner unit including drilled holes for feeding the mixture of hydrocarbons and oxygen into the combustion chamber and the drilled holes for supplying a flow of auxiliary oxygen to the combustion chamber, the drilled holes for supplying a flow of auxiliary oxygen into the combustion chamber are connected to the additional space, the additional space being connected to the annular space, wherein the additional space is separated from the annular space by the wall, the wall being provided with holes for connecting the drilled holes to supply the flow of auxiliary oxygen to the annular space, wherein the annular space is connected to at least one supply conduit for supplying auxiliary oxygen. Invention also relates to a process for the preparation of acetylene.
EFFECT: proposed invention allow to avoid the wrong distribution of oxygen over a perforated burner plate.
