SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry. Buds of birch plants are selected for analysis of total lipids and their fatty acid composition. Selection of the kidneys is carried out in the spring period through four phases of their dissolution: swelling, opening, opening and young leaves up to 10 mm in size. Of fatty acids, the palmitic, stearic and linolenic levels are determined, additionally, the content of fractions of total lipids – neutral lipids, glycolipids, phospholipids is determined. Determine the mass ratio of lipid components sequentially to the phases of bud budding, taking for 1.0 their level in the swelling phase. Silver birch is identified with a weight ratio of neutral lipids – 1.0:0.5:0.6:0.7, glycolipids – 1.0:1.0:1.4:0.9, phospholipids – 1.0:0.9:2.9:0.9, linolenic acid – 1.0:1.2:1.2:1.3, stearic acid – 1.0:0.9:0.5:1.4. Identify the silver birch with a mass ratio of neutral lipids – 1.0:0.8:1.2:0.6, linolenic acid – 1.0:1.0:0.8:0.8, palmitic acid – 1.0:1.4:2.3:2.1, stearic acid – 1.0:0.9:1.9:2.0. Identify Karelian birch with the mass ratio of total lipids – 1.0:1.1:1.1:1.0, neutral lipids – 1.0:0.7:0.9:0.7, linolenic acid – 1.0:0.9:1.0:1.1, stearic acid – 1.0:1.0:1.3:1.0.
EFFECT: improved accuracy, broadening the range of species identification of plants of the genus Betula, while reducing the duration of the process and reducing its labor intensity.
