FIELD: construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creating porous building materials with a protective-decorative coating. Method for producing a ceramic block includes moistening clay raw materials, introduction of a burning additive into it, homogenization of the mixture, molding of the billet, drying and roasting. To obtain a molding mixture, 20 % by weight of water and 7–10 % of a burnishing additive, wood dust, are added to the clay. Molded block is subjected to drying and firing in a stepwise mode: 2–3 hours at a temperature of 400 °C, 2 hours at a temperature of 600 °C, 3 hours in the temperature range 900–1320 °C. Surface of the block is glazed with subsequent heat treatment at a temperature of 850–1320 °C for 2–3 hours. Feedstock mixture can additionally contain 20 % by weight of alumina. Technical result is production of a moisture resistant foam-ceramic block with a protective-decorative coating, with apparent density of the material of 0.6–0.8 g/cm3, with improved mechanical and decorative properties.
EFFECT: technical result is production of a moisture resistant foam-ceramic block with a protective-decorative coating.
