SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital signal processing. Method of processing a signal comprising a succession of samples divided into successive frames, the method being implemented during decoding of said signal for replacing at least one signal frame lost during decoding; method comprises steps of: searching in a valid signal available for decoding, a signal segment duration corresponding to a period determined by said valid signal; spectral analysis of the segment for determining spectral components of the segment; synthesis of at least one substitute weft of the lost frame, by construction of a synthetic signal from at least a portion of the spectral components, wherein said synthetic signal comprises a plurality of said spectral components.
EFFECT: technical result is providing correction of frame loss by using spectral components on the last valid frames.
