SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heavy equipment for loading operations in the open pit area. In particular, a method for actively determining the mass of loading for shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment is proposed, which includes: scanning the surface of the cavity; determination of the shape of the surface of the notch on the basis of the scanned surface of the recess; identification of the trajectory of excavation of shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment; calculation of the volume of material in the ladle of shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment, at least on the basis of the shape of the surface of the excavation and the trajectory of excavating the shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment; and calculating the mass of material in the ladle of the shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment based on the volume of the material in the ladle using at least one density factor. In this case, the scanning of the surface of the recess includes: scanning the surface of the recess surrounding the shaft-sinking and tunneling equipment using a plurality of laser scanning devices; and generating a plurality of data items based on the plurality of images generated by the plurality of laser scanning devices. Definition of the shape of the surface of the recess includes: combining a plurality of images into a three-dimensional model of the surface of the recess; obtaining a plurality of coordinate sets for each of the plurality of images; and determining the shape of the surface of the recess based on the set of coordinate sets.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the mass of the material taken out.
