EXCAVATING TOOL TRACKING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC G06V10/44 G06V20/64 E02F5/14

Abstract RU 2841578 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and a method for tracking a working equipment tool, preferably an excavating tool comprising wear elements, such as an excavator bucket. System comprises one or more sensors mounted on the working equipment and facing towards the implement, and a processor configured to receive data relating to the tool from one or more sensors; generating a three-dimensional representation of at least a portion of the implement using the obtained data; comparison of generated three-dimensional representation with previously generated three-dimensional representation; identifying one or more events such as wear and loss of at least part of the implement by comparing the generated three-dimensional representation with a previously generated three-dimensional representation, wherein processor is configured to generate three-dimensional representation by aligning a plurality of three-dimensional models by combining three-dimensional models in a common coordinate system, wherein generation of a three-dimensional representation of at least part of the implement using data received from one or more sensors, comprises using a processor configured to collect a plurality of vector scans during a certain period of time in order to generate a three-dimensional representation using motion estimation data, wherein the movement evaluation data are derived from data received from one or more sensors as the tool moves in the field of view of one or more sensors.

EFFECT: control of tool wear of working equipment.
