FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for destroying naval targets in remote areas, in particular to the methods of using sea mines delivered by carrier transporters and being remote mining means. Goal of the invention is to develop a method for remote mining, in which the minefield concealment is kept, the required range of a self-transporting mine (STM) is provided and at the same time, its sufficient maneuverability and resistance to sea and wind currents are achieved. Sequence of operations of the remote mining method is proposed.
EFFECT: use of the proposed method of remote mining will make it possible to covertly lay maneuverable minefields in the protected area and remotely control them.
