FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used for production of cable articles. Electrolyte contains silver chloride, ferrous potassium chloride, potassium carbonate, potassium thiocyanate, wherein it additionally contains seignette salt at the following component ratio, g/l: silver chloride 30–40; ferrous sulphide potassium 100–110; potassium carbonate 40–60; potassium thiocyanate 100–110; seignette salt 10–20.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is higher rate of silver deposition on a copper wire continuously moving through a bath of electrolyte from a cyanide silver solution, allowing to obtain silver-plated wire in the scale of cable production.
