FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a snow clearing device, designed to absorb lateral impacts and having a variable snow-removal surface. Snow clearing device (100) comprises first snow-removing blade (3), second snow-removing blade (4), first support (5) bearing first snow-removing blade (3) and second snow-removing blade (4). Second snow-removing blade (4) is mobile with respect to first support (5) between first position (H1), in which first snow-removing blade (3) and second snow-removing blade (4) form first snow-removing surface (6), and a second position in which first snow-removing blade (3) and second snow-removing blade (4) form a second snow-removing surface, which is larger than first snow-removing surface (6) Blade comprises second support (8) which is hinged to first support (5) first hydraulic cylinder (10) which is connected between first support (5) and second support (8) for orientating first support (5) with respect to second support (8), discharge of liquid in overpressure. Blade also includes bypass valve means, which connect first hydraulic cylinder (10) with the discharge of liquid and configured such that, when the pressure of the liquid contained in first hydraulic cylinder (10) exceeds a threshold pressure value, due to a lateral impact on second snow-removing blade (4), bypass valve means place first hydraulic cylinder (10) with discharge of liquid, thus modifying the orientation of first support (5), of first snow-removing blade (3) and of second snow-removing blade (4) with respect to second support (8). Blade is also equipped with a sensor which detects a position assumed by second snow-removing blade (4) with respect to first support (5), the bypass valve means varying the threshold pressure value according to the sensor readings.
EFFECT: invention ensures preservation of the integrity of blade elements during its operation.
