FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and concerns compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used for production of metallurgical equipment, forging and pressing tools, stamps. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: carbon 5.35–6.45; silicon 0.5–0.8; chromium 4.5–5.0; tungsten 1.2–1.7; molybdenum 2.5–3.0; vanadium 2.9–3.5; cobalt 0.8–1.5; cerium 0.01–0.02; hafnium 1.5–2.0; niobium 2.8–4.0; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high hardness.
