FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of by-products of ferrous metallurgy, namely of dump metallurgical slag of steelmaking production. Unit for processing slag of steelmaking production includes a slag loading device, first and second transporting devices, roll crusher with smooth rolls and two devices for selecting ferromagnetic particles with an adjustable magnetic field. Unit further comprises a third transporting device, devices for selecting ferromagnetic particles are made in the form of pulley electromagnetic iron separators disposed on the first and third transporting devices.
EFFECT: increased amount of iron-containing part in the additive is provided, while simplifying the design, reducing the energy consumption and the cost of the extracted metal.
