FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises the sizing to extract the irregular slag lumps, magnetic separation by iron separation drum, grinding at jaw crusher, magnetic separation by iron separation drum of crushed product, grinding at impact crusher and magnetic separation. Obtained magnetic product consisting of iron oxide, silicon oxide and calcium oxide is ground at roll mill to particles sized to 150-200 m²/kg and mixed with metal aluminium powder. Produced mix is fed to the muffle to be reduced to fused metal iron and liquid melt consisting of aluminium oxide, calcium oxide and silicon oxide. Said liquid melt is drained from the muffle into electrolysis bath with current conducting bus. Then, fused metal iron is drained from the muffle while cryolite and aluminium fluoride are added to said melt and dissolved therein with dissociation of aluminium and silicon oxides. Graphite electrode is dipped into said bath to feed electric current through the melt to get the silumin under the melt ply.

EFFECT: extraction of metal iron and silumin.
