FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: metal concentrate for metallurgical process is produced by treatment and concentration of dump wastes of metallurgical production. Metal concentrate for metallurgical process contains iron, carbon, manganese, silicon, calcium oxide, ferrous oxide, manganese oxide, silicon dioxide, alumina, phosphorus, sulfur, phosphorus pentoxide and graphite in the following amounts, mas. iron 56.9-90.10; carbon 2.00-4.70; manganese 0.10-1.20; silicon 0.30-3.60; calcium oxide 2.10-16.80; magnesium oxide 0.30-2.40; ferrous oxide 0.25-7.00; manganese oxide 0.01-0.40; silicon dioxide 1.90-15.20; alumina 0.20-3.60; phosphorus 0.09-0.30; sulfur 0.040-0.60; graphite 0.40-7.20; phosphorous pentoxide 0.30-0.80. Method for production of metal concentrate for metallurgical process includes successive operations of crushing of initial material, cleaning, sizing and magnetic separation. Initial material is used in form of dump wastes of metallurgical process. Separated preliminarily is their magnetic component which is subjected to subsequent operations. Product is sized into three classes: 0.10,10-50 and 50-250 mm. Depending on size content metal concentrate is used in different metallurgical processes: concentrate sizing 0 to 10 mm is used in sintering; concentrate sizing from 10 to 250 mm is used in steel making, foundry and blast-furnace processes.
