FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions based on a lacquer solution of phenol-formaldehyde resin and to methods for manufacturing semi-finished products based thereon. Said compositions are used for the manufacture of semi-finished products for general industrial use. Composition for manufacturing a semi-finished product of pressing material comprises novolac or resole type phenol-formaldehyde resin in the form of a solution with a concentration of 55±5% by dry residue in alcohol or acetone, urotropin, butadiene-nitrile rubber in the form of a solution with a concentration of 10÷16% by dry residue in butyl acetate or acetone, reinforcing filler, wherein urotropine is used for novolac type resin, and the composition contains ground sulphur with milling size not more than 0.3 mm. Composition further comprises phosphonitrilanilide, calcium stearate or zinc stearate in the form of an alcohol suspension, ethyl silicate ETC-40. Invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a semi-finished product of a press material from said composition in which a solution of butyl acetate or acetone is poured into a working container, butadiene-nitrile rubber pieces are added and stir until complete dissolution, then a solution of phenol-formaldehyde resin is added to the resulting solution of butadiene-nitrile rubber and the mixture of solutions is stirred to a homogeneous state, ground sulphur is added to the resulting impregnating mixture, then the resulting mixture is impregnated with a reinforcing filler, and after completion of the impregnation, the reinforcing filler is dried. Object of the invention is to improve the quality of the semi-finished product by optimising its composition and developing a method for manufacturing such a semi-finished product.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is an increase in the degree of hardening of the semi-finished product while simultaneously reducing the fluctuations in the compressive strength and preventing significant reduction in strength characteristics at elevated temperatures.
