SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information security. Method of reading an SMS message contains the steps: from a third-party application they receive a request to read an SMS message; if the said SMS-message is an SMS-message containing confidential information, the confidential information in this SMS-message is hidden; and the processed SMS message is returned to a third-party application.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in excluding the possibility of reading the confirmation code from the SMS message by malicious applications.
