FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and concerns, in particular, the issues of improving the hydrodynamic qualities of transport vessels. A method is proposed for reducing hydrodynamic resistance to vessel movement by profiling the bottom and organizing the combustion process in the cavity, based on the formation and use of a directed flow of combustion products, the combustion process comprising the steps of igniting the combustible mixture in the cavity area between the slit the region of the inlet section of the cavity and the baffle plate-combustion stabilizer, combustion of the mixture in the turbulent regime, stabilization of the turbulent flame, and the formation of a directed flow of combustion products moving along the longitudinal axis of the bottom toward the outlet section of the cavity, where a jet is formed. Invention proposes also the device for this method implementation.
EFFECT: technical result is about reducing the frictional resistance component, reducing the residual resistance of the vessel and creating an additional driving force.
