FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ship comprises a hull with bottom air cavity, power plant and propulsion plant consisting of two waterjets furnished with steering and reversing mechanisms. To allow operation at full speed on shallow water areas, each waterjet incorporates water duct with enlarged water intake consisting of two intake sections, one being mounted on cavity wider skeg and another being fitted on ship side. To reduce hull sticking to basin bottom, the side intake section should exceed two to three times that of the bottom. To prevent ingress of outside air into waterjet, top edge of air intake side intake section can be arranged below water line by some 250 to 300 mm at cruising speed.
EFFECT: improved operating performances on shallow water.
