SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power lines. Temperature detector of the wire of the contact network and overhead power lines contains a current sensor, a wind speed sensor, an ambient temperature sensor, first and second functional converters, superheat calculation unit, first and second adders, stabilized voltage source, first, second, third and fourth setting devices of the constant coefficient parameters of the heat transfer convention, the setting device of perimeter of the wire, the setting device of the dial gauge of the blackness of the wire surface and the actuator, and also the wind direction sensor, a relative humidity sensor, first, second and third programmable multifunctional means, first and second switches with a controlled input, first, second and third threshold elements, first and second multipliers, coincidence circuit, mass, specific heat capacity, resistance unit of wire length, temperature coefficient of resistance of the wire and a block scale factor. Actuator input is connected to the output of the second adder. Moreover, functional converters implement computational algorithms in the form of mathematical expressions.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of determining the wire temperature.
