FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for producing a raised seam between an inner component having a joint flange and an outer component having a fold flange, and is aimed at improving the anti-corrosion protection of the seam. Method involves at least the following steps: laying an adhesive strip in the cold state onto the front edge of the joint flange; heating the adhesive strip; adhering the adhesive strip to one or both sides of the joint flange; laying the inner component against the outer component; folding the fold flange in the direction towards the inner component, while after the fold flange is folded towards the inner component, the adhesive strip is positioned with its free edges inside the fold gap, so that a space for expansion is formed; paint coating is applied which is also applied to the expansion space in the fold gap with the placement of the paint coating also on the free edges of the adhesive strip, so that the adhesive strip is coated by the paint, and then heating at least the raised seam region in order to cure the adhesive strip.
EFFECT: increase in the anti-corrosion protection of the seam.
