FIELD: manufacture of spiral pipes with lock seam and with necessary of reduced supply of lubricant. SUBSTANCE: method and device for manufacture of spiral pipes with lock seam from metal strip having longitudinal edges include feed of strip to forming head and twisted to obtain spiral shape. Lubricant material is applied locally to strip side which forms external side of pipe. Lubricant material is applied only to limited part of strip width near one of strip edge. Pipes manufactured by the method and device feature high service properties due to the fact that their internal surface not coated with lubricant is not nutrient medium for various bacteria, viruses, mold and is free from dirt accumulations and reducing pipe inner diameter, and external surface of pipes not coated with lubricant promotes improvement of conditions of their transportation.
