FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and is intended for the reconstruction of expansion joints in prefabricated concrete and reinforced concrete claddings of hydraulic and meliorative structures. Method for repairing expansion joints of hydraulic structures means making a slot-groove with a diamond milling head in adjacent end faces of slabs and laying a polyurethane sealing gasket between the interlocking cladding slabs having the profile of the slotted groove with further applying a sealing compound onto the surface. Tightness is ensured by an increase in the area of contact between the gasket and the surface of the cladding, as well as a complex geometry of the resulting slot, which prevents the natural filtration of water.
EFFECT: invention increases the reliability of butt joints, reduces the repair time of the expansion joints of hydraulic structures, excludes water loss and improves the ecological situation.
