FIELD: waterworks facilities and hydraulic building, particularly to seal and repair reinforced concrete liner joints of irrigation channels and water supply systems.
SUBSTANCE: joint sealing device comprises resilient member formed as two prisms symmetrically connected to hydraulic structure members and flushed with outer surfaces thereof. Expanding member is arranged between the prisms. Waterproofing pad is located under lower surfaces of hydraulic structure members to be joined. Dimensions of resilient member, expanding member and waterproofing pad are determined by mathematical relations.
EFFECT: increased joint quality, reliability and service life of the joints, which reduces water losses and improved irrigation and ecological conditions in lands to be irrigated.
