SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Cultivation of leaf vegetables is carried out using a hydroponic solution with a normal potassium content for a certain period and subsequent cultivation using, as a replacement, a hydroponic solution for a growing period with a reduced potassium content. Hydroponic solution for the growing period with a reduced potassium content contains potassium in an amount of from 5 to 50 ppm, where the value of the electrical conductivity (EC) of the hydroponic solution is adjusted from 0.5 cm to 1.8 cm for cultivation throughout the growing period with a normal potassium content and a growing period with a reduced potassium content.

EFFECT: provides the vegetables production with a low content of potassium.
