FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of foundry production and is intended for calculating the properties of molding sands and the component composition of molding and/or core mixtures by means of a device for calculating the properties of the molding sands and/or the component composition of the molding and/or core mixtures and the machine-readable data carrier for its implementation. Claimed group of inventions includes a method for calculating the properties of molding sands, a method for calculating the component composition of molding and/or core mixtures, a device for calculating the properties of the molding sands and/or component composition of molding and/or core mixtures, and a machine-readable data carrier for direct participation in the operation of the device. Method for calculating the component composition of molding and/or rod mixtures includes a measuring means, while the image of like-charged grains of molding sand that passed in advance through a conductive grid that is under tension from 12,000 to 24,000 V, with a cell diameter of 1.2–1.5 times larger than that of grains of sand, are obtained by scanning with a measuring means consisting of a flatbed type scanner with a lower location of a movable scanning head comprising a matrix and a light source, and with the aid of a computing means, the obtained digital image of the projections of white sand particles is processed on a black background and the calculated numerical values of the properties of the forming sand are calculated, after that, based on the prescribed properties of the molding (and/or core) mixtures, data on the influence of properties of molding sand on the properties of molding (and/or rod) mixtures, data on a given component composition of the mixtures, the properties of the molding (and/or core) mixtures are calculated in a computing instrument and the difference in the values of the calculated and predetermined properties of the molding (and/or core) mixtures is calculated, further, the calculated and prescribed numerical values of the properties of the mixtures are compared, after which, if the difference between the calculated properties and the prescribed values exceeds 30 %, numerical calculation is calculated in the computer for correcting the component composition of the molding (core).
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility to obtain molding (and/or rod) mixtures with constant preset properties with unstable properties of molding sands, to obtain molding (and/or core) mixtures with a minimum amount of binder components, to reduce the cost of the mixtures by using the maximum amount of regenerated sand (or recycled mixture) and the minimum amount of binder components, and also in providing the possibility to obtain a mixture with constant technological properties with unstable properties of the molding sand.
