FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a magnetic bearing (1) intended for a rotary installation comprising rotor (4). Magnetic bearing (1) intended for a rotary installation having rotor (4) and comprising stator magnetic circuit (5) attached to stationary support component (9) and comprising at least one coil (6) and ferromagnetic body (7) placed in a protective annular support (8) which is fixed to the fixed support component (9) and leaves uncovered the surface of ferromagnetic body (7) and the surface of said at least one coil (6), wherein said protective annular support (8) has a U-shaped cross-section with radial bar (10) and an inner and outer axial protuberance (11, 12). Bearing (1) comprises at least one annular plug (13) disposed on the surface of said at least one coil (6) which is left uncovered by a protective annular support, and is characterized with annular plug (13) has a U-shaped cross-section with radial bar (14) and an inner and outer axial projections (15, 16). Annular plug (13) and the surface of ferromagnetic body (7), which is left open by protective annular support (8), are covered with protective layer (17) protecting the stator magnetic circuit from corrosion, and axial protrusions (15, 16) of annular plug (13) are welded to ferromagnetic body (7).

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a magnetic bearing, which is simpler in production and has a higher bearing capacity.
