SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical equipment and can be used for high-voltage loads smooth start-up and shutdown, for example, electric motors or medium 6/10 kV voltage transformers. Smooth start-up device contains an electric motor or a transformer with terminals A, B, C and X, Y, Z at the winding zero point, alternating current thyristor switches with control circuits, shunt contactor with "On" and "Off" control circuits, connected by main circuits in parallel to thyristor switches, control unit with "Start" and "Synchronization" inputs containing a zero-body, two RS-triggers, a "2 AND" logical element and two "2 OR" logical elements. Introduced are "Stop" input, two contact-units of the contactor and three time delay elements, the "Start" and "Synchronization" inputs are connected to the "2 AND" element inputs, the first one is directly, and the second one is through the zero-body, the "2 AND" element output is connected to the first RS-trigger "S" input, and its output is to the first "2 OR" element first input, the "2 OR" element output is connected to the first thyristor switch control inputs, the "Stop" input is connected to the second RS-trigger S-input, and its output is to the "2 OR" elements second inputs and the "Off" contactor control circuit, contactor contact units are connected to the first and second RS triggers R-input through the first and second time delay elements, respectively, time delay third element is connected to the first RS-trigger output via the input circuit, and via the output circuit is to the second "2 OR" element first input and to the "On" contactor control circuit, second "2 OR" element output is connected to the second thyristor switch control circuits, thyristor switches are connected into the winding zero point gap by the main circuits, between the X, Y and Y, Z terminals, respectively.
