FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: three-phase transformer activation device comprises of a switch connected to phases of the supply main and transformer windings by main circuits, starting resistors, a contactor, current sensors and a control device for starting current with the contactor and switch control elements, wherein the starting resistors are phase connected with the main circuits of the contactor and current sensors in series and connected in parallel to the main circuits of the switch.

EFFECT: expansion of functionality, which provides detection of turn-to-turn short circuits in the transformer windings, multiple reduction of starting currents and increase in the process reaction rate of the transformer activation at no load.
